Cookie Dough Dip

I'm so excited for the Superbowl. I don't know who's playing (honestly, I don't). I do like watching the commercials, but the biggest reason I'm excited is the FOOD. I LOVE Superbowl food. I am a snack food junkie - I could survive on snacks. In fact, I did for the four years I was in college. I went through an entire semester where I had coffee and goldfish crackers for breakfast every day. My family will also tell you that I'm not good at eating lunch. I don't really like sandwiches, and I'm super picky about leftovers. (I also hate interrupting whatever I'm doing to stop and make a meal - it's annoying). But send me 6 different snacks in Ziploc bags in my Ninja Turtle lunchbox and I'm a happy woman.

I made this dip for small group tonight. I must say, I am usually a salty-snack person. Any manner of cheddar cheese-flavored cracker will make my whole day. But if I am going to eat dessert, most of the time it contains chocolate. So tonight, I bring you:

Cookie Dough Party Dip

(Adapted from Add a Pinch)

~1 8 oz. package softened cream cheese
~1 stick of butter, softened
~1 cup powdered sugar
~3 tablespoons brown sugar
~2 teaspoons vanilla
~2 cups of mini chocolate chips (I like semi-sweet)

(recipe doubled for a large group)

Beat cheese and butter together. Stir in the powdered sugar a bit, then add the brown sugar and vanilla and beat until smooth. Stir in the chocolate chips. Sprinkle a few large chocolate chips on top to garnish. Serve with chocolate and/or cinnamon graham crackers.

Be warned - this recipe is RICH. A little goes a long way. You could also experiment with butterscotch or white chocolate chips. Enjoy!
